On 20-21 September 2021, the Newslines Institute organised a two-day ‘Gender and Genocide’ Conference. On day one AJC member Akila Radhakrishnan, President, Global Justice Center was in conversation with Emily Prey, Senior Analyst, The Newslines Institute on 'How Gender Shapes Genocide'. The conversation addressed how the sexual mutilation and rape used as a weapon of war against the Rohingya women in Myanmar amongst other armed conflicts.
